# How to Get Better at Browser FPS Games: 10 Pro Tips

Browser FPS games have come a long way. Titles like Krunker.io, Shell Shockers, and Ev.io now offer competitive multiplayer experiences that rival desktop shooters — all running in your browser.

Whether you are a casual player looking to improve or an aspiring competitive player, these 10 pro tips will help you climb the ranks.

1. Optimize Your Settings

Before you even jump into a match, make sure your settings are dialed in:

Sensitivity — find a DPI and in-game sensitivity that lets you do a 180-degree turn comfortably
FOV — higher FOV gives you more peripheral vision, but too high can distort targets
Crosshair — choose a crosshair you can see clearly against any background
Graphics — lower settings for higher FPS; performance beats visuals in competitive games

2. Master Your Mouse Grip

Your mouse grip affects everything from aim precision to reaction speed:

Palm grip — stable for tracking, good for beginners
Claw grip — balance of speed and precision, popular among pros
Fingertip grip — fastest flick shots, but hardest to control

Experiment with all three and find what feels natural.

3. Learn Aim Training

Even 10 minutes of aim training daily can dramatically improve your aim:

Tracking — keep your crosshair on moving targets
Flicking — quickly snap between targets
Target switching — smoothly transition between multiple targets
Click timing — shoot exactly when your crosshair is on target

Many browser FPS games have built-in aim training modes or bot lobbies.

4. Understand Map Control

Knowing the map is half the battle:

Learn callouts — know the names of key areas so you can communicate
Control chokepoints — narrow passages where enemies must pass
Use high ground — elevated positions give you a tactical advantage
Know spawn points — predict where enemies will appear

5. Positioning Over Aggression

New players often rush in and die quickly. Good positioning wins fights:

Use cover — never stand in the open
Peek angles — expose as little of your body as possible
Hold angles — pre-aim common enemy positions
Rotate smart — move between positions without being seen

6. Manage Your Resources

In game modes with limited resources:

Reload strategically — reload behind cover, never in the open
Switch weapons — know when to swap instead of reloading
Use grenades — utility can win fights before they start
Buy wisely — in economy modes, invest in weapons that fit your playstyle

7. Communication is Key

In team-based modes:

Call out enemy positions — "Enemy on A site!"
Report enemy health — "He is low, one shot!"
Coordinate pushes — attack together, not alone
Stay positive — toxicity loses games; encouragement wins them

8. Watch and Learn

Improve by studying better players:

Watch pro streams — observe their positioning, aim, and decision-making
Review your own demos — identify mistakes and learn from them
Analyze death cams — see how you died and how to avoid it next time
Study weapon stats — know damage, fire rate, and recoil patterns

9. Warm Up Before Playing

Never jump straight into competitive matches cold:

Play a few bot matches — get your aim warmed up
Do aim training — 5-10 minutes of tracking and flicking
Adjust your setup — make sure your mouse, keyboard, and chair are comfortable
Stay hydrated — dehydration affects reaction time and focus
